CollectInfinity Stonepaper

Stone, made thin enough to write on. Write, wipe, write again.

This page is about getting hold of it. Two ways to get it from us, and three ways to spread it further: selling it on in your own Hub, supplying your region, or producing it where it is used.

Ways to collect it from us

Two ways, both from our shop, cut to format and ready to use.

Designer Products

A single piece is an object: Agnes Friedrich's artwork on it, packed in Infinity Stonepaper itself, with a label made rather than printed. Made to be given to somebody, or to find out what one surface changes about a week.

In Bulk

The same formats in bulk, for a Hub, a school, an office or any group that runs sessions. One order covers years rather than a term, because the surface does not get used up, and per piece it costs a fraction of a single piece.

How to spread Stonepaper

Three ways the material travels further than a single order: one that pays your Hub, one that supplies a region, one that ends the shipping.

Sell it on in your Hub

This is where the material starts paying for the place it sits in.

Order a box of the small formats and put it on a shelf. People pass through, work on one of these surfaces for an afternoon, and take a piece home. Your Hub sets that price, and the money stays in the Hub.

A box costs a fraction per piece of what a single piece costs, so there is room between what you pay and what you ask. The shop works out prices for larger amounts.

It is the shortest route there is between a Regeneration Hub and money that did not come from a grant.

Supply your region

Pallets of raw material come from Gaia Concepts in the Netherlands, stone-paper.nl. Whoever buys a pallet cuts it themselves and supplies the region around them. Where Regeneration Hubs exist, they are the obvious places for that material to sit.

This is how the material reaches places that shipping from Europe has priced out of it.

Produce it where it is used

The furthest step, and the one that ends the shipping. The material is invented by Taiwan Lung Meng in Tainan, taiwanlm.com. They supply the machines as well, and a whole production line for anybody who wants one. Producing it locally is something they already do with others.

Your order supports the Hub

What you pay in our shop keeps a Regeneration Hub running. There is no institution behind this covering the difference.

Solarpunk NOW does not manufacture this paper. A maker in Taiwan has been producing it for years, and it is a remarkable thing to have brought into the world: stone, made thin enough to write on.

Taiwan Lung Meng makes the raw material, Gaia Concepts brings it to Europe, and an inclusion workshop in Fürstenwalde cuts, counts and packs our formats. A good part of what they earn stays there. The rest pays for the formats, the Journeys and the Hubs.

We were not the first to see what it is for. MOYU in the Netherlands, moyu-notebooks.com, got there before us, which we only learned much later, and they do beautiful work. If you want a notebook made of this material, buy theirs. We are unlikely ever to make one.

The permaculture in this

Obtain a yield. A system that gives nothing back to the people running it gets abandoned, however good its intentions were, and permaculture treats that as a design fault rather than a lack of commitment. A box of cards in a Hub is stock, it is income, and it is the thing somebody carries home and shows to three other people. Every step on this page feeds the place it happens in, which is why this material travels further than any funding for it would.
